bouldering wall Rules
All climbers should understand bouldering is very dangerous and your spotter may not be able to prevent injuries.
- No climbing without Flux staff approval.
- Every climber must have signed a Flux waiver.
- Before climbing you must sign in with on-duty Flux staff/ Coach.
- All climbing fees must be paid in advance.
- Any person under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult Flux member. Children 16 years and under must be actively and closely supervised by an accompanying adult Flux member at all times. Flux facilities are not "child proof".
- Mats must be used for safety at all times. Mats should be moved in order to work with the climbing routes.
- Shirts and shoes are mandatory (no barefeet). Clean indoor footwear or socks must be worn at all times.
- We encourage people to buy climbing shoes.
- Respect the advice and instructions of Flux Coaches/staff at all times.
- Do not climb over top of others. Do not walk underneath a climber or in the climbing area if you are not climbing.
- It is each person's responsibility to have a quality spotter. Spotters accept that they may be injured if the climber should fall on them. You must consult Flux staff if you cannot boulder or spot properly.
- No gum, no spitting, no food in the climbing area. No intoxicating substances.
- All bouldering areas must be clear of water bottles and personal effects so no one trips or lands on them.
- No teaching. Only Flux staff are permitted to instruct at the Flux climbing wall.
- No altering or adding to the Flux climbing wall.
- Always use chalk when climbing.
- Always spend time warming up joints, tendons, etc. prior to climbing.
- Mats must be put away at the end of the climbing session.
